Frequently asked questions
What is the gorilla habituation experience?
Unlike a standard one-hour gorilla visit, the habituation experience lets you spend up to four hours with a mountain gorilla family alongside researchers and rangers as the gorillas grow accustomed to people. It is offered in the Rushaga sector of Bwindi.
How do I get to Bwindi?
We transfer you from Entebbe or Kigali. Kigali is closer, roughly a 4-hour drive, while Entebbe is a full day’s scenic drive. Flights to a nearby airstrip can also be arranged on request.
Do I need a permit for Uganda gorillas?
Yes. A gorilla permit is required and included in this tour. Permits are limited and in high demand, so we recommend booking well in advance.
